Why Study with Early Years Training & Consultancy – Ming’s Experience

June 2, 2020 By Kirsty Fantini Leave a Comment

Meet Ming  – she is completing her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care and here is what she has to say about her experience with Early Years Training & Consultancy!

What made you choose Early Years Training & Consultancy?

I chose to go through Early Years Training because I was referred to through a friend. They told me their program was very good with a variety of interactive learning methods whilst I was looking to study Self-Paced.

What has been your experience so far / best aspects for the course?

Hearing  that you do a great job whilst on practicum has been my highlight as all my learning and efforts are put into practice and knowing I’m on the right path to helping guide children is very rewarding.

How do you feel your knowledge, skills and /or confidence has grown throughout the course?

My knowledge and confidence in my practice has grown a lot as I can see the learning put into place when working and I am able to really observe my progress and the children’s progress through our interactions.

If there was one piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to complete qualifications in Early Childhood, what would it be?

My advice would be patient and take the information you learned  and constantly reflect on your practice and adapt as no day is the same and no child is the same.  look at the Learning Outcomes for the children and use it as a reflection for yourself, understand and role model what we are trying to teach them.

What is at least 1 thing that you have learnt about early childhood / children’s learning & development that has surprised or “wowed” you?

The most WOW part of working with children for me is how smart the children are and their development from 0-5. You can see in a babies eyes when they look at you that they are trying to scan your face, you see the toddlers trying to piece the words together to express themselves and you see the independence the preschoolers have to get things done.
