The CHC50113 Diploma in ECEC qualification covers educators in children’s services who are responsible for observing children, planning, implementing and managing programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements.

Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care Pre-requisites:

There are no prerequisites for the CHC50113 Diploma. However if you have completed CHC30113 Certificate III then some of these units will be credit transferred to the Diploma.

To successfully complete this course you will need to be able to read, speak and write in English.

At this level

Educators have responsibility for supervision of other staff and volunteers. In most states it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level for children’s service centre-based care.

It is noted that whilst this qualification equips educators to work with children from 0-6 years of age, some workplaces and jurisdictions require educators to have skills and knowledge to work with children in both early and middle childhood (i.e. aged 0-12 years). Where educators are required to work across the span of development from 0-12 years, candidates should receive training and/or assessment across this broader span of development and in addition to the qualification, be awarded a Statement of Attainment for achievement of the Middle childhood development skill set.

National Recognition

EYTAC recognises AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations. We acknowledge and support National Recognition as an integral part of the Australian Quality Framework. Therefore, we accept the qualifications issued by other RTOs in any State or Territory of Australia.
