Working With Children Check

Child Protection Legislation states that any one working or volunteering in children’s services must have a criminal check completed. This includes students on placement.

Depending on what State you are in these may have a different name such as Blue Card, Working with Children Check (WWC). However to find out what you need in your state go to:  https://aifs.gov.au/cfca/publications/pre-employment-screening-working-children-checks-and-police-checks

In the event that a student is required to obtain a Prohibited Persons Check the student will be liable for the costs of this check.

Copies of this will need to be provided to Early Years Training & Consultancy.

Testimonials

Thanks to Early Years Training I am able to complete my Diploma in Early Childhood. This has been a goal of mine as I am passionate about the industry. Kirsty has been a wonderful support in expanding my knowledge in the day to day thinking when working with children. I would recommend Early Years Training to anyone looking at starting a career in Early Childhood Education.

Lisa, 2016
I wanted to write to you on behalf of my team and thank you for the workshop today. We have already had a pre-discussion about some of the things we have taken away from the presentation and thrown out some ideas for how we might change things up.

I’ve been to workshops before on planning cycles, but none have laid it out the way that you did - in just 1.5 hours it was made clear to me that services tend to fall into the activities trap! I guess that so much time is invested in putting together really great activities for children that educators tend not to think about why they were doing it in the first place, and instead focus on how the activity went.

Very informative, and I appreciated your walk through of carrying out analysis - not really something that was covered in my diploma, and not really something that my team has been shown how to do.

Thank you again.

Testimonials

In all my years of participating in workshops I have not experienced a trainer who is especially gifted in her ability to transfer knowledge so clearly without losing her audience. There was no one shifting in their seats or looking at the clock. It was so professionally presented and Kirsty clearly is passionate about her chosen field. Thanks Kirsty!!
