Sustainability Ideas – Day 2!

February 6, 2017 By Kirsty Fantini 2 Comments

Gardening with children sounds like a great idea.. however can often end with a very sad looking garden in a few weeks (or less)!

So for a successful garden you need easy to care for plants, educators who are interested (because the children will be) and of course space…  but what if you don’t need space.. you don’t need a garden bed.. or loads of soil?

I love the idea of  recycling plastic bottles and other items and growing plants….  here are some great examples!

Or the use of old soup ladles..  love love this!!

or… hanging bottles to cover an unused wall…

Feel free to share what you do… and look out for “Day 3”

In the first picture with the bottles hanging vertically, how to attach the string to the bottle cap securely?

HI Kate. Here is a how to guide for a variety of bottle gardens. However there are 3 strings coming down and wrapping around the top of the bottle.
