Privacy and Personal Information Policy
Purpose: This policy ensures that Early Years Training & Consultancy (EYTAC) meets its obligations under SRTO Standards and ensures compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP). Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012

Procedure:
EYTAC recognises the importance of protecting personal information, which is required from individuals who enrol either on-line or face to face. In collecting personal information EYTAC will comply with the privacy requirements of the above mentioned Privacy Act 2012
For the purpose of this Policy, “information” is described as:
“Personal information” means information relating to an individual, including their personal details, ethnic background, level of education and payment details.
Information collected is required to maintain a person’s enrolment and required as per Government and regulatory reporting requirements.

- All information gathered will not be given to any other organisation other than for reporting purposes required by DEEWR. Information supplied is non- identifiable and provided in the form of codes called NAT files.
- Once a student has completed their course information will be stored securely via on on-line management system. Hard copy information will be kept in secure storage for the required time specified by ASQA. After this time hard copy files will be destroyed via shredding.

If your information changes and needs to be updated you can do this via your Student portal or changes can be emailed to kirsty@earlyyearstrainig.com.au Changes will be made within 48 hours.

In the event that you feel your personal information has been used other than as stated above or one of the 13 APP’s has been breached, you must inform Early Years Training immediately.
We will respond to your concern / question relating to use of personal information within 5 working days. In the event that you are not satisfied with our response you may email a complaint, as per our Grievance & Appeals Procedure. If a satisfactory outcomes is still not achieved then Office of the Australia Information Commissioner (OAIC) will be contacted to assist with the matter.
